Located quite centrally near the West End, Haymarket Station is about fifteen minutes’ walk from Princes Street. It’s Edinburgh’s second largest station and you can catch a train from here to Glasgow or Fife (trains from Glasgow also pass through Haymarket before terminating at Edinburgh Waverley.) Alighting at Haymarket is a good idea if you’re visiting Edinburgh to watch rugby at Murrayfield. Haymarket hotels are normally a little bit cheaper than their equivalents on Princes Street.
