Too far from the centre to be convenient. Building works ongoing outside very noisy. No air conditioning in rooms - very hot. beds uncomfortably hard.

I asked for a non-smoking room and got a smoking room, and the room just wasn't very nice.

We were told the walk to Princess Street was 10 minutes however for the older person this should be doubled.
The Granary bar at the hotel is great for Rugby supporters whoever you support. Murrayfield is a 30 minute walk along the Leith path at the back of the hotel.
Top Tip
The walk along the Leith is very nice but don't go when it has been raining as the pathway floods in several places.

The hotel is situated about a 15 minute walk to the main Princess street area of Edinburgh but the location is nice and quiet.
