Our Review
Though a budget property, the Learmonth Hotel certainly doesn't look like one from the outside, since it occupies a fine Georgian Townhouse in Edinburgh's New Town. Inside, its versatile room configuration offers the option of twins, doubles and singles. There's also a lively bar and a cosy patio on which to enjoy the summer sun.
There are 62 guestrooms in the hotel. They are mainly twin rooms, although some have zip-link beds providing the option of a double. The hotel has 11 dedicated single rooms, which, although they tend to be a bit smaller, offer the single traveller the chance to book accommodation without paying often-hefty single supplements.
All the guestrooms are functional, decorated in pastel colours and appointed with light coloured furnishings to the standard you would expect of a hotel of this nature. They also feature television, tea and coffee facilities and trouser press.
